BED STUY STRONG

There’s a really cool mutual aid organization in my neighborhood called Bed Stuy Strong. I wanted to envision what a simple headline-driven OOH campaign could look like — one that brings awareness to BSS, celebrates the pride residents have for this historic neighborhood, and shows people the fun side of mutual aid. Mutual aid has radical roots as a vehicle for social justice, but that doesn’t mean it’s self-serious and unapproachable. When you get down to it, it’s just people helping people, working together for the good of the community.
